June I

It’s here , it’s summer…

and endless, bright nights bring endless, bright nights with ice cream in the park. You know which ice-cream. Although we know it’s never time, in this city, to have our dinky duckumbrella not tucked under our wings; they’ll still be with us. We’ll be serving up our summer drinks again, so keep your eyes and mouths ready for them as we get the ice nice and frozen. Our online shop is filling up and up so you can browse it from bed, the sofa, the kitchen or also, yes, that park with the ice-cream—though you should just come by, we’re always so thrilled to have you all around :] We’ve taken a break from the newsletter to focus on our online store but we are ready oh so ready, so read on for some more beautiful things we’ve in stock!

At the moment we’ve got the inimitable AMACA Colombian from Dear Green in the hopper. It’s a staple around Glasgow’s streets. Expect Stone Fruits, Kiwis, Toffee in the mouth with this one. AMACA (Asociación de Mujeres Productoras Agropecuarias del Cauca) is a 140 member strong association of female coffee famers based in El Tambo, Cauca in the south west of Colombia. The work they do together makes an amazing cup.

Why not live out that little bit of your best front door life and get involved with one of these quirky ARK colour design keyrings. They’re cute, bold and playful; and there’s one for almost all our moods, except grumpy of course because we’re never grumpy. They’ve got a fun range of bags and other mini things, like the leather animal purses we had in stock before(not for long)! They’re based in Cambridge, also got some stock in the V&A, but all their products are produced by a small, family-run company in Scotland. Mermaids! Lobsters! Long thumbs!

These prints from Kate & the Ink calm us, cheer us. One for waking and one for drifting. We’ve also got their Spanish partners: Hola and Buenas Noches in stock. Sometimes we think they’re good for our BAMBINO section, but then also sometimes we feel like grownup BAMBINOs ourselves. Kate is in Edinburgh and has such a wide variety of colourful, lively products that are distinctive and often 60s inspired, which we love. We wish we could get more and more and more, but there’s only so much room for everything we do, everything we love.

Farewell, goodbye, adieu and bonne nuit we see you in a couple of weeks, same time, same place. Oh la la! We are open 11am - 6pm every day EXCEPT Tuesday, please come and chat to us, especially with Doggos!
