Size Guide

Vintage sizing can be fairly difficult to navigate. Because we want to make your online shopping experience as simple and fun as it can be we have kept it simple at BAM Glasgow.

We measure all the garments when laid flat and give measurements in inches.

• Bust measurements are pit - to - pit horizontally

• Waist measurements is the narrowest point of the piece

• Hips is the widest points of the piece, approximately 5 inches below the waist

• Length is from Shoulder to Hem

We use a M & S Size chart as a guide to what these measurements would convert to for a modern UK dress size.

Best get out the tape measure and compare. Remember: the silhouette, fabric, and features like an elasticated waist or zip closures will all affect how a garment fits and how easy it would be to be altered.
